When Centrestack is accessible from the internet, users can edit Office files via Microsoft Office Online on the web portal. The user needs to have an Office 365 account.
- To edit the file online, right-click the file and select 'Open with Microsoft Office Online'.
- It will prompt user to login with his Office 365 account. After login, user can edit the file online.
For self hosted Centrestack, instead of Office 365 subscription, admin can install Microsoft Office Online server and configure Centrestack to use it.
As a cluster admin, go to the Cluster Dashboard, click on Application Manager.
Here, click Edit and input the URL for the Office Online Server installed. After configuring it, when opening a file via Microsoft Office Online, it will use the Office Online Server instead of a Microsoft Office 365 subscription.
