Requirements before migration
* Ensure you can connect to the Target Database from the CentreStack Server with the corresponding database management tool.
* Back up the CentreStack Server.
* Back up the current database.
* On Centrestack server, backup the registries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Gladinet\Enterprise
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Gladinet\Enterprise
The registries here contain the database connection information. In case you want to restore to the old connection, just restore the two registries.
* Avoid having any users writing to the CentreStack database during migration.
The database being used by the current CentreStack server can be found on the Cluster Control Panel >> Worker Nodes page.
In latest Centrestack, can also see the database information in the Cluster Dashboard.
Start
From the CentreStack server, launch the browser and navigate to: http://localhost/management/migratedatabase.aspx
You should see the following screen:
Select the Target Database (For this example, MySQL is selected from the Database dropdown)
Fill out the Target Database Configuration screen with the Database server information, then select Migrate.
Note: The logging database can contain many records, elongating the migration time.
If you wish to keep the File Changelogs, do not check the box.
The following screen will appear if there were no issues with the provided information.
Once the Migration is complete, you should see the following screen.
VERIFY MIGRATION
-Authenticate as the Cluster Administrator after the migration completes successfully.
-After successfully authenticating, query the xaf_audit table from the database to see the cluster administrator's successful authentication record.
