Gladinet provides self hosted Centrestack and hosted Centrestack solutions.
With self hosted Centrestack, the administrator installs Centrestack service on their own server, and setup their own storage to host the data. The whole solution is within the administrator's own network. It is private cloud solution.
With hosted Centrestack/Centrestack Online solution, Gladinet provides the access and backend storage. Users upload the data to the hosted tenant and access it anywhere with browser and native client installed on local machine.
Each hosted license comes with 100G free storage. The administrator can purchase more storage and assign them to the tenants.
- To manage licenses, create hosted tenants, use our partner portal on https://centrestack.com
- To access the hosted tenant data, use our web portal / native client on https://cloud.sync4share.com

Create Hosted Tenant
Login to the partner portal on https://centrestack.com. If you don't have a partner portal account, apply one for free. See the article here: https://support.centrestack.com/hc/en-us/articles/235979107-How-to-Try-Out-CentreStack-for-Free
After login, click the icon on top left corner, to open the left menu. Click 'CentreStack Online' or 'Hosted Centrestack' on the left menu. See the hosted tenant list. Click '+' sign to start the new tenant creation wizard.
Specify the Tenant Admin information.
Click the Advanced Setting icon on top right corner. In Advanced Settings, make sure the Hosting Data Center is 'US Data Center'. That's the default data center. However, if you have self hosted Centrestack registered and enabled Reseller, the default data center is the self hosted Centrestack.
And there are some other settings can be adjusted for the new hosted tenant.
. View and edit group policy: Allow the tenant admin to change tenant settings
. All tenant to edit branding settings: Allow the tenant admin to brand the hosted tenant
. Edit tenant administrator info: Allow the tenant admin to update the tenant administrator information, including name/email/password
. Allow creation of guest suers: Allow the tenant users to create guest users.
. Show Data-At-Rest Encryption configuration page: When storing data on the hosted tenant, admin can enable Data-At-Rest Encryption (DARE). When DARE is enabled, the data is encrypted first, then stored on the backend. When user accesses the data, it is read from backend, decrypted, then returned to the user. The encryption/decryption is done transparent to the user. Can enable the setting here, during the tenant creation. Once the tenant is created, before any user uploads any data to the account, the tenant admin has to login to sync4share.com web portal. After login, sync4share will prompt the tenant admin to setup DARE key. The setup only shows once. The tenant admin will specify the key. And the encryption/decryption will use the key specified. The tenant admin needs to store the key safely. It can't be retrieved later.
After the advanced Settings are defined, click CLOSE. Then click CREATE, to create the tenant.
The newly created tenant shows on the partner portal.
It shows the tenant's name, admin email, whether the tenant is in trial or licensed, the tenant user and storage usage/quota.
To login to sync4share, from another browser, open https://cloud.sync4share.com. Here, type in the sync4share tenant admin email and password, to login. After login, tenant admin can access the cloud data, and manage the tenant.
From the partner portal, the partner can also manage the hosted tenant. Cannot access any cloud data though.
To manage the tenant, under CentreStack Online, click 'Manage Tenant' from tenant top right corner, to manage the select tenant.
Purchase licenses and storage
On the partner portal, partner can go to the Centrestack Online section. Here, click the shopping cart to purchase hosted licenses. If need to purchase more storage, click the disk icon.
After the purchase, the license/storage information shows on the top of the page.
Here, it shows Available Hosted Licenses / Total Hosted Licenses. And Available Storage / Total Storage
In the screenshot, the partner has 10 hosted licenses, with 1000G storage. And they are not assigned to any tenant yet.
Keep in mind that the partner portal pays for all the licenses purchased, no matter whether it is used or not. In the case here, once the licenses are purchased, we'll start the charge. The partner admin can decide when to license the hosted tenants with the licenses.
If you have some free licenses you don't plan to use, please contact us at ticket@gladinet.com. We'll remove those licenses.
License Hosted Tenant
To license a hosted tenant, make sure the partner still has available hosted tenant licenses and storage.
On CentreStack Online section, click the top right corner of the hosted tenant and select 'License the Tenant'
After the tenant is licensed, the tenant shows 'Licensed'
Here, in the screenshot, the partner has 10 hosted licenses. And they are all assigned to the testing tenant. Thus 0 license is available.
Adjust license/storage for existing tenant
Partner can adjust license/storage assigned to the licensed tenant.
On the partner portal, select User and Storage Plan for the tenant to adjust.
In the User Plan / Storage Plan page, define how many licenses / how much storage to assign to the tenant. Click 'APPLY CHANGES'
Here, we adjust the tenant, to only assign 6 licenses, with 500G storage, to the test tenant.
After the change, the partner portal shows the tenant has 6 User LIcenses and 500 GB. And the top license info shows 4 licenses are available, with 500G free space. Can create another tenant and assign the rest license/storage there.
Allow Hosted Tenant to attach cloud storage
By default, the hosted tenant can't attach 3rd party cloud storage like s3 bucket, azure blob, etc. The partner can enable the feature.
Under Hosted Centrestack/Centrestack Online, click the action icon on top right corner of the tenant and select 'Manage Tenant'.
Under Tenant Dashboard, select 'Access Control' from right.
On the tenant's access control, enable the setting 'Allow tenant to attach external cloud storage'. Save it.
After that, when creating a new team folder, either as tenant admin on sync4share.com directly, or as partner admin, see the option for Cloud Storage.
. From Partner portal:
. Login sync4share directly as tenant admin:
Delete hosted tenant
If one tenant is no longer needed, from the partner portal, click 'Delete Tenant', to delete the tenant.
Once the tenant is deleted, the license/storage assigned to the tenant is freed. If the partner no longer needs those licenses, notify ticket@gladinet.com. We'll remove those unused licenses from your account.
