The latest Centrestack uses PostgreSQL as the Centrestack database. The service is gladpostgresrv. And new server agent uses PostgreSQL as the task database. Here, the service is gladpostgre.
On rare occasion the PostgreSQL service will fail to start. If PostgreSQL fails on Centrestack, the web portal will be unavailable. If it fails on Server Agent installation, can't open server agent management console or start the server agent 'Cloud Server Agent Access Service'.
In case like this, try to manually start the PostgreSQL service and check the event viewer. You may see errors referencing the replication checkpoint
When you see the error like this, please navigate to the folder C:\CSPDBRoot\pg_logical (on Centrstack installation) or C:\ProgramData\Cloud Server Agent\pg_logical (on server agent installation).
Here, rename the file replorigin_checkpoint to replorigin_checkpoint.bak
Restart the PostgreSQL service after the file is renamed. A new file will be created.
On the service is up, on Centrestack server, restart IIS. Verify the login on Centrestack web portal.
On Server Agent machine, restart 'Cloud Server Agent Access Service'. After that, open server agent management console. It should open.
