Sometimes we have user complains that when visit a large folder on Centrestack web portal, it only shows the first 1000 items. Windows Client shows all items.
Folders like this, with lots of files/folders directly under it, is called flat folders. It is very expensive to query folder listing for a flat folder, from cloud. Thus, by default, Centrestack only shows the first 1000 items.
The preferred solution is to re-org the folder, add subfolders and move files to subfolders. For example, add subfolder like A-E, H-J, etc, etc. The goal is to reduce the number of files/folders direct under the top folder. It helps with the web portal performance.
You can also change the tenant Settings, to show more than 1000 items. It is defined under Settings, Clients & Applications, Web Portal. The setting is 'Show max count of file/folder items'. Please notice a larger value here might slow down the web portal.
