Background
Sometimes an attached folder will have an issue syncing through the Server Agent Management Console. The steps below will help you troubleshoot the issue to see where the problem lies.
- On the Server Agent Management Console, please go to Attached Folders tab. Is the folder listed here?
- If the folder shows up under Attached Folders tab, server agent should sync it with cloud. Still on Server Agent Management Console, go to Task Manager. What's the status for System Sync Task? That's the main task syncing local files to the cloud. If the task has a big pending subtask, it is possible the files for the folder are still in the big queue. Let's wait until System Sync Task finishes processing the subtasks to see whether you still see files missing on the folder.
- On the source folder, verify windows 'SYSTEM' user has full permission to access the source folder. Server agent runs as SYSTEM. If the user doesn't have permission, it cannot read files on the source folder.
- If system sync task is not busy and SYSTEM user does have full permissions to the source folder, run a quick test. Add a new .txt file (not empty) on the source folder. Do you see the file uploaded to the cloud? It will verify the syncing still works. If new file does get uploaded to the cloud, follow the article to run the scan and force sync the data to the cloud. https://support.centrestack.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003104047-How-to-Force-Sync-and-Scan-attached-local-folder-
